Split Entry Refresh
Interior Design Portfolio
The owners of this 1965 split-entry home wanted a design refresh. The transformation was achieved by replacing flooring and light fixtures, painting all walls and kitchen cabinets, and adding new furniture and décor in a transitional style. The starting place was a jewel-toned, abstract canvas featuring water lilies, with a design based on neutral walls and floors with pops of color from wall art, area rugs, and décor, along with a navy-blue accent wall that flowed from the living room to the adjacent dining room. The color palette was carried throughout the rooms of the main level, creating a cohesive design that looked different in each space. In the lower level, the same neutral palette formed the foundation for a slightly different palette. The deep, jewel tones added a vibrancy that will feel warm and inviting in all seasons.
